It's been an odd summer. Very little sunshine but yet quite dry.
The houses have been full since the beginning of April and judging by the comments, guests have enjoyed both staying with us and also exploring the island. We tend to take the scenery, the environment, the peace and island traditions for granted so it does us good to be reminded that the Outer Hebrides are still that bit different.
August and September are now fully booked

Harris however, even if all the accommodation is booked, remains a place where there are many corners of absolute peace and quiet in the height of summer.
