The Isle of Harris is the most mountainous of the Western Isles, a group of islands situated off the NW coast of Scotland.
Harris is well known for its spectacular craggy landscape and sandy beaches.
The highest peak is the Clisham - reach the top and be rewarded with majestic views around the whole island. Start your climb from a point only 20 minutes drive from the houses.
The sparkling white sand and massive dunes of Luskentyre beach are only 10 minutes from the houses by car down the west coast.
Carry on along the coast and watch mile after mile of immaculate sand and pristine blue ocean spread out before you.
The rugged terrain offers incredible views over the Minch to the Isle of Skye and even out to St Kilda on a clear day. Remember to keep a look out for eagles circling above.
There is a wide range of activities on offer in Harris including golf, fresh water and sea fishing, outstanding hiking and mountain biking, boat trips and surfing. Guests are welcome to contact us for help in making arrangements.
Alternatively you can just sit back and enjoy the slower pace of life.
Harris Tweed is the island's most famous export, but other local industries include fishing and crofting.
